15mm Colonial Militia/Security

Just made test painting of colonial militia/sci-fi police/security figure. Actually this is French Foreign Legion figure from Peter Pig "AK47 Republic", but I thought he will be great for 15mm sci-fi gaming. Soon I will finish a squad of these little chaps. If you are interested I posted photos of other French Foreign Legion figures from Peter Pig store.

  1. Have you considered Eureka Miniatures' World War 2 Chinese as a source of colonial militia? I bought some as ESU militia and while they are slighter than GZG's ESU, I reasoned that they were lower tech and weren't wearing body armour. The overtly German-style helmets can be filed back to a more generic, Soviet style with a little care and effort, or left as "coal scuttles".

  2. I really like the Peter pig ranges. The faces have the standard pin mouth "hole" but the actual pose and style of the models is great.

  3. Nice use of figures to cross-over into another universe! With Peter Pig's head sculpts you can do even more exciting modeling! Fun stuff, Fjodin.

    1. Thanx, but I am afraid I don't speak French. But I think I understand what do you mean :)

  5. Nice work here, I'd also recommend a Eureka Miniatures line and that is their French Indochina FFL, I plan to use them as low tech planetary militia, already have a bunch of AMX30s and old BTR50s to use with them.
