This is how QRF M113 looks with original gunners head. The head is smaller than Peter Pig modern Marines, so I decided to make a head swap for my other vehicles. But it works OK with Vietnam era Peter Pig Americans, because they have similar head size, and modern era Marines have much bigger heads.

15mm M60A1 from QRF Part 2
Just finished painting 15mm M60A1 Patton tank from QRF. Because M60 was in US Army service from 60's to 90's and still serve of some countries even now, it was tough decision to choose color scheme for it. M60 could be painted in Brown Violet for 60's, MERSC camo for 70's-80's and NATO camo for 80's, 90's and 00's. I wanted to use this model for various periods, so I decided to paint it in MERDC camo, so it can be used for 70's-00s and even for 60's if you dont mind wrong camo pattern :)
Searchlight was also included to this models pack, but I haven't mounted it. I plan to buy one more M60A1 and 2 M60A3 to make a platoon of 4 tanks: M60A1, M60A1 with searchlight, M60A3, M60 A3 with commander.
One last thing. Years ago QRF have M60 with tracks like these:
But after M60 was remodeled rigs was added to tracks. Perhaps to make M60 more taller and close to Battlefront M48 Patton:
So I decide to remove the rigs (very simple operation), and make my M60 closer to original version, because its more historically correct :)
Tomorrow I plan to post more photos of M60A1 in different angles withs Peter Pig 15mm US Marines to show you its size.

ACU and BDU
Just painted two of Peter Pig US soldiers in M81 Woodland and ACU camouflage. To avoid figure in woodland camo to blend with its base and gaming terrain, I decided to paint its bullet proof vest in green colours.

15mm woodland MARPAT tutorial
Due to a demand on TMP forum, I decided to show you how do I paint 15mm woodland MARPAT step-by-step. Final goal is to make 15mm Peter Pig soldier to look like marines from above photo.
Please bear in mind that this is my very first painting tutorial and also I am not professional macro photographer. So there could be some imperfections.
The main problem with 15mm camouflages is that if you paint authentic 1/100 camo, model will blend with wargame terrain. So I prefer to paint cartoony version of camouflages.
STEP1: I paint uniform using Baneblade Brown (Khemri Brown), for skin I use Kislev Flesh (Elf Flesh), for boots and equipment I use Balor Brown (Snakebite Leather), Abaddon Black (Chaos Black) for M16 and Mechanicus Standard Grey(Adeptus Battlegrey) for goggles.
Wash model with Agrax Earthshade (Devlan Mud). For skin I use Seraphim Sepia (Gryphonne Sepia). For goggles I use Nuln Oil (Badab Black).
Now we have bigger photos :) Highlight clothing with Baneblade Brown (Khemri Brown), highlight skin with Kislev Flesh (Elf Flesh), for boots and equipment use Balor Brown (Snakebite Leather)
Now we need to add one more layer of highlights. Highlight equipment with Tallarn Sand (Desert Yellow). Use 60/40 mix of
Balor Brown (Snakebite Leather) and Tallarn Sand (Desert Yellow) to highlight soldiers back. To highlight his uniform use 70/30 mix of Karak Stone (Kommando Khaki) and Baneblade Brown (Khemri Brown). Highlight skin with 50/50 mix of Kislev Flesh (Elf Flesh) and White Scar (Skull White). Highlight M16 with Mechanicus Standard Grey (Adeptus Battlegrey).
Final touches! Highlight his M16 and goggles with Dawnstone (Codex Grey). Paint green stripes with 50/50 mix of Warboss Green (Goblin Green) and (Knarloc Green), but remember there are always options what green paint to use for these stripes. Last thing you need to do is to paint black dots :)

UCP Delta

I am not an armyman, but by looking on these photos I think this is good camouflage pattern for Afghanistan.
15mm ACU UCP and MARPAT
My attempt to paint two identical 15mm Peter Pig Modern US soldiers in UCP (universal camouflage pattern) and woodland MARPAT.
I know that this is not authentic 1/100 representation of these two digital camo patterns, but if you paint realistically scaled camouflage on 15mm models, they will blend with wargame terrain. I also decided not to paint camouflage on their bulletproof waists. Army guy wear green woodland waist, but I want my other ACU squad to wear waist of same colour as his uniform..

G'Day, mate!
My attempt to paint this Laserburn mercenary in Australian camouflage called Auscam. I tried to make these colourfull dots big enough to see them from tabletop height. Final result does not looks as I expected, comparing it to real Auscam. I tried to add more dots and make them smaller, but then all shadows and highlights on model become obscured by these dots...So I like my result. Yes, its not perfect but I like it. Remember its 15mm, not 28mm model. And if you paint 15mm model in realisticly proportioned camouflage its start to blend with gaming terrain.
