I am back from my illness, so I can continue all my projects :) I painted lots of miniatures and want to share them. Today's miniatures are two Hotchkiss H39 tanks from QRF.

15mm T1 Cunningham available for sale from QRF

Four variants of 15mm T1 Cunningham are available for sale from Quick Reaction Force store.

Please note, that T1 from first picture is a hybrid with the early war hull but late turret with long gun

I am glad to tell you that T1 Cunningham is PRINTED and ready for cleaning. With lots of different parts you can assemble four different Cunningham variants. On the photo below you can see T1 compared with Bradley (not mine) and 15mm figures

North Korean vehicles!

Sharing photos of of North Korean tank and APC. I painted these vehicles a mouth ago, and only now I decided to share some photos. Judging from photos and youtube clips of military parades, North Korean vehicle and uniform colour is brownish, so I decided to paint them in Vallejo Brown Violet. 

 From 2002 North Korea use Pokpung-ho as its Main Battle Tank, but it still have huge fleet of older Chonma-ho MBT - a modified version of Soviet T-62. Unfortunately, no one make Pokpung-ho in 15mm. So I decide to stick with Chonma-ho in 15mm. I bought 15mm T-62 from QRF and painted it as early version of Chonma-ho. Korean APC in 15mm was also a bit tricky. As its APC, North Korea use VTT-323 and M-2010 (modified VTT-323 with longer chassis and improved optic). But again, no one makes these vehicles in 15mm. The only solution is to buy Chinese Type 62 APC from QRF and use it as very early version of VTT-323, before Koreans added turret and ATGM on it. 

To make my North Korean Vehicles more interesting I decided to sculpt some stowage from green-stuff. But in case with VTT-323 I think I sculpted to much stowage :) I also added one wooden ammo box from Plastic Soldier Company 25mm gun battery.

QRF M113 with original gunners head

This is how QRF M113 looks with original gunners head. The head is smaller than Peter Pig modern Marines, so I decided to make a head swap for my other vehicles. But it works OK with Vietnam era Peter Pig Americans, because they have similar head size, and modern era Marines have much bigger heads.

Started painting A7V

I started painting one of my all time favorites tanks - A7V tank in 15mm scale. I got the model from QRF and its really nice huge model with sharp details.I already primed the model and will share photos of finished model really soon. Now I need some Late WW1 Germans :)

15mm M60A1 from QRF Part 3

15mm M60A1 from QRF Part 2

Just finished painting 15mm M60A1 Patton tank from QRF. Because M60 was in US Army service from 60's to 90's and still serve of some countries even now, it was tough decision to choose color scheme for it. M60 could be painted in Brown Violet for 60's, MERSC camo for 70's-80's and NATO camo for 80's, 90's and 00's. I wanted to use this model for various periods, so I decided to paint it in MERDC camo, so it can be used for 70's-00s and even for 60's if you dont mind wrong camo pattern :)

Searchlight was also included to this models pack, but I haven't mounted it. I plan to buy one more M60A1 and 2 M60A3 to make a platoon of 4 tanks: M60A1, M60A1 with searchlight, M60A3, M60 A3 with commander.

One last thing. Years ago QRF have M60 with tracks like these:

But after M60 was remodeled rigs was added to tracks. Perhaps to make M60 more taller and close to Battlefront M48 Patton:

So I decide to remove the rigs (very simple operation), and make my M60 closer to original version, because its more historically correct :) 

Tomorrow I plan to post more photos of M60A1 in different angles withs Peter Pig 15mm US Marines to show you its size.

Mount ago Mike Edwards from "Stopping the Red Tide" blog have gifted me four QRF M113 (read posts here and here). And now these M113 want to say "Thnak You" to Mike for their new home :)

I painted this APC in same way as Irishserb Humvee that I already own and headswaped the gunners head with Peter Pig marine head and also added some bullet holes of right side of the vehicle. I plan to paint 2 M113 as modern vehicles and other 2 as Vietnam ones. In that case I wont be headswapping gunners heads for vietnam era, because they have similar size to Peter Pig Vietnam era Americans (older Peter Pig sculpts with smaller heads.)

I also received lots of 15mm and 20mm clear acrylic bases from Litko, that I am gonna use to rebase my models.

Making your own bocages!

I decided to share photos of half made bocages. To make your own bocage, cut the base from plasticard or cardboard. Then glue two matchsticks to the base to prevent warping and add sand and flock to the base. Glue some insulation foam chunks on the base (some wargamers use wire frames), and then glue foliage on foam.

New 15mm terrain and photo technique!

 I want to share some new (and old) scenery for 15mm gaming, such as bocage, fences, trees and tree log. Terrain tile was made from cardboard. I cutted 1 foot square and then primed it to prevent warping. All fences were made  from craft store matchsticks, glued on plasticard base and washed with Agrax Earthshade. Bocage was also glued on plasticard base and have some insulation foam chunks in the middle, covered with bushes. All miniatures are from different manufacturers and time periods. Please bear in mind that I want to base them on 20mm circular clear acrylic bases made by Litko, so that's why they have super tiny bases. The car is WWII era Russian "BA-10 Armored Car" made  by Zvezda. There are French infantry fireteam from 80's made by Peter Pig behind the BA-10 and also a Laserburn range mercenary with assault rifle painted with Vallejo "Japanese Uniform WWII" and highlighted with Citadel paints called "Bubonic Brown" and "Bleached Bone". Soviet 45mm Anti-Tank gun is made by Plastic Soldier Company. Its maned by modern era insurgent commander in red beret, made by Peter Pig  and Cold War era German infantryman, made by QRF.

Another great model from QRF. Note that ALL STOWAGE was sculpted by me and its not a part of original model.

QRF 15mm T-80

Painted T-80 from QRF and Peter Pig soviet infantryman for size comparison. I used Knarloc Green/Loren Forest as hull main colour and for highlights I used Straken Green and Nurgling Green.

Note that gunmetal grey round spot on the right side of the turret is not a miscast, but battle damage, accidentally made by me.

Bornu and Arab horseman

Just painted another Bornu Musketman and repainted Arab horseman (I painted him 2 years ago and after my painting style have improved, I decided to repaint him). Bornu figure is from Irregular Miniatures and Arab from QRF "Franco-Prussian War" range link . Actually its not an Arab but repainted French Spahi horseman.
